Solid – Control Your Light

Sometimes the best lighting tool isn't another light—it's removing unwanted light.

Our Solid Black textiles are ideal for negative fill and blocking light. Available from small rags and solid flags, all the way up to 20x20’ and drape. A solid is one of the most useful tools for shaping light on set and is an essential part of many professional lighting setups.

Silk – Perfect for Exterior Shoots

Silks are widely used to soften direct sunlight without making it look artificial.

We currently stock: ½ Silk and Full Silk in 8x8’, 12x12’ and 20x20’.

Whether you're filming in the sun on Brighton beach or on location across Sussex, silks help create flattering, natural-looking light while reducing harsh shadows.

Grid Cloth – For a More Directional Soft Light

Grid Cloth is one of the most commonly used diffusion fabrics in film and TV production. It softens the light source whilst maintaining directionality and reducing spill compared to silk. We currently stock ¼ Grid Cloth, ½ Grid Cloth and Full Grid Cloth starting at 6x6’.

4x4 Frames & Lee Diffusion

We also offer 4x4 diffusion frames with a selection of Lee Filters diffusion. Choose from essential favourites like 216 or 250 diffusion, 228 Brushed Silk, 253 Hampshire Frost and more. Available pre-skinned on the frame or as sheets. Consider a 4x4’ Grid/Egg Crate to go on top for extra directional control.

They're ideal for softening LED fixtures or creating a compact overhead without the need for a larger butterfly frame.
