Not sure what equipment to hire for your next production? These are some of the most popular items hired from Cine Hire by filmmakers, photographers and content creators across Brighton and Sussex. From powerful lighting to cinema lenses and reliable grip equipment, these are the pieces of kit our customers come back for time and time again.

Need reliable power on location? Rent a DJI Power 2000. It is ideal for shoots where mains electricity isn't available. Whether you're filming outdoors, at an event or on a remote location, it provides dependable power for cameras, lighting, monitors and charging equipment throughout the day. It delivers enough power to run large lights such as the Aputure 1200X.

Speaking of which, number 2 on the list is the Aputure 1200X. When you need serious output, the 1200X delivers. It is ideal for any size production due to it being compact and suitable for handling by 1 person. With the BLAIR engine, you can also dial in lots of colours - this light goes way beyond a typical bi-colour. It's a favourite for commercials, music videos and high-end video production.

The Aputure F22C is one of our most requested lights thanks to it being super lightweight and able to be mounted just about anywhere plus it has full RGB colour control. Whether it’s your key light on an interview or a Perfect for interviews, commercial productions and creative shoots, it's lightweight, portable and quick to set up on location.

The Manfrotto 087NW is heavy duty enough for all but massive lights and frames and light enough you can actually carry it! Most gaffers own a few stands but we find this one is just a bit too big for people to want to store in their house. Its wind-up mechanism makes raising large fixtures safer and easier, making it an essential piece of grip equipment for professional lighting setups. Add a jumbo grip head and this stand will do just about everything.

The Matthews Hollywood Combo Triple Riser is an industry-standard stand trusted on professional film sets. Strong, stable and versatile, if we had to choose just 1 stand to do everything, it would be this. Reaching 4.5m in height, this will cover you for most situations.

A true workhorse lens, the Sony 24–70mm GM is one of the most versatile zooms available. Covering everything from wide establishing shots to close-up interviews, it's an excellent choice for corporate films, events, documentaries and general filmmaking. Pair it with a Sony FX6

For filmmakers after a cinematic look, our DZOFilm Vespid Cine Lens Set offers beautiful image quality, consistent colour and smooth manual focus. These compact cine primes are popular for narrative films, branded content and commercial productions alike. Their strength is the perfect balance of quality and affordability. Yes, a set of Cooke’s or Arri Signature Primes might be a bit better, but not by so much that you need to spend multiple times the price to rent a set.
